We hired Discosapien for our wedding in Boulder this July. He was fantastic. Here’s why: He met with me to get to know my preferences well in advance of the event. He allowed me to put down whatever deposit I wanted to hold the event. He always answered his phone and was positive and reassuring. AND The music and lights at our event were spot on. Here’s how you know it’s good: Our event coordinator, who didn’t know him and hadn’t worked with him, but goes to, you know, like 50 weddings a year said: “Wow, your DJ was awesome he was like a club DJ.” He did these awesome mash-ups with our music selection that had them flow from one song into the next in a way that really brought the event to life. I highly recommend Discosapien. Hire him.

Matt was great and was very timely. He was set up early and very flexible to music requests of the youth. He was great with this age group, as DJing young teens girls takes a special person. We hired Discosapien for our High School reunion. Justin was punctual and professional. We originally had them set up outside; when the weather changed they moved inside quickly and kept the party going! They were knowledgeable about the music we listened to in high school and paced the event by playing softer music during dinner, and the dancing music when the party needed energy.

We were very happy with Matt as our DJ and he made the party very fun! He selected good music and was quick to change songs if people weren’t wanting to dance to the current song. He played all of our requested songs and took requests from our guests. We changed the schedule last minute, but he was VERY flexible and just rolled with several changes to the itinerary! He was also great about setting up for two locations – the main setup on the dance floor and another speaker in the tent which was about 50 feet away. Logistically this must have been a challenge for him, but he worked with it just fine. He acted very professionally and was punctual.

DJ Rex / Discosapien was a phenomenal DJ for our wedding Reception on July 9th, 2011. His overall professionalism, and correspondence before and during the event was outstanding. To all the future brides looking for a DJ, look no further. Rex Buchanan with Discosapien did an amazing job and I would recommend him to everyone. For my wedding, the one thing all of you dread happening, happened. I had an outdoor ceremony and of course it began to rain in the middle of it. Thankfully, I had Rex there who was ready for everything. He provided the music and microphone for both the ceremony and reception. When the rain started coming, my anxiety started to build, but Rex put my mind at ease because everything went flawlessly. Rex did an amazing job with the reception as well. My husband and I have a very diverse taste in music and Rex had everything we wanted! With all the stress in planning a wedding, having someone who is easy to work with, understands what you want, and provides beyond you expectations is priceless for such a monumental event and Rex was all that for my wedding.

Matt Loui with Discosapien DJs was absolutely fantastic! He was the DJ for our wedding this year and to say he rocked the house is an understatement. Over the phone the Discosapien staff was professional and they answered of all my questions promptly. They made me feel comfortable the entire time and when my big day finally came they delivered. I hired Rex with Discosapien to DJ for my daughter’s wedding. He did an absolute awesome job. He knew WHAT kind of music to play WHEN, as well as fulfilling everyone who had a request. He’s an extremely easy-going guy and makes you feel comfortable when working with him. I would hire him again, without a doubt, for my next function, as well as recommend him to anyone in search of a DJ.
